Pre-Thanksgiving

 I haven't taken any pictures this week--wow!

Dinner with Jon, soccer tournament, staying in the hospital with a friend, dia de accion de gracias con el barrio. In the past month, David's been traveling like a boss: NYC, Mexico, Arizona, DC, and we will be headed to Coeur d'Alene for Thanksgiving.

So, here are some pics from my boy:

And one from my girl's Friendsgiving.
And one that Jon took of the girls:

A huge announcement from the church: reduced age of female missionaries. Now it's the same as boys--they can both leave when they have graduated and turned 18. She wishes they had told her this a few months ago, but she has already put a whole lot of time and money into the college application process. She she will continue as usual and then see if her preferred college accepts deferrals--or at least that's the plan for now.

And I finally did take a picture:

The girls just presented on the following topics: 1) You don't have time to throw rocks if you are washing feet. 2) Author and finisher of faith. 3) Prepare ye the way of the Lord.
They are now outside in the hot tub and I'm finishing up a few things.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Glitz and Glamor

David not only went to the Latin Grammy pre-show, for his work,
he won box tickets to the actual event and went with some beautiful ladies.
And last night we went to the most spectacular bday party I have ever attended: assigned seating in the one of the fanciest bridgings in the city and attended by some pretty important people who flew in from everywhere, wearing their finest clothes.
And, of course, The King himself attended.

Today was the primary program. Sybil gave her testimony, but was nervous to do it in Spanish.
Claire gave a talk in Spanish a few weeks ago.

Day of the Dead

Iris won second place in a crossfit competition at her school.
She was also voted as an officer in the Quiz Club and is the treasurer in FFA.
Ethel M's cholcolate factory and Christmas light display in the cactus garden with the family
Sybil and David went to where Dia de los Muertos began in Michoacan.

In other news: 2 applications to BYU were completed by the early-decision deadline, but only one of my children is entertaining the possibility of attending.
Only about 1 month until I graduate. I have loved school. Recently in the clinic I identified a heart murmur and a breast mass, which was pretty exciting for me.

Haloweeen

Claire went as the founding father Edmund Randolf to her law firm Halloween party.
Halloween parties 2&3: Claire and Micayla  were Serena and Blaire from Gossip Girl and then Men in Black, because reusing costumes for more than one party is lame.

Iris was a cow while participating in her school trunk or treat with the FFA club.
Sybil wore her PJs and said she was a unicorn.
On Haloween she was Frodo with Samwise, her sidekick (aka Claire O.).
And Sybil skipped American Haloween and went back to where it all began:
Mexico with David for Day of the Dead.
I thought I'd have chill Halloween since the teenagers had parties.
But Masha asked me to chill with her so we made a round in the neighborhood.
Claire took a break before one of her many parties to braid Masha's hair.
Masha fell asleep in front of the fire after sorting her candy.
Story from this week: Sybil can be tweeny at times, especially when she practices piano. After a particularly hate-spewing practice, Claire hugged me and said, "Even if Sybil hates you, you’re still a good mom.” And forced me to reciprocate her hug.
