Sleeping babies warm my heart

 I was about to go to sleep, but then I saw this:
Ok, now I gotta go to sleep for real.

FIRST DAY!

Elijah=7th grade
Claire=5th
Iris=3rd
Sybil= PrePreK
And Zoe, who carpools with us=6th
This picture was taken at 6:34am. Although they were about to hop in the car, Sybil was just awoken and is in her PJs, Iris has chlorinated dreds...
Claire is fake-yawning, and Elijah is sooooo happy.

Today I've been hyperventilating to the tune of, "There aren't enough hours in the day."

  • 2 hours of dropping off, including time in-between with Sybil, vacuuming and wiping down the inside of the car
  • grocery shopping (3 times) including infernally eternal school supplies
  • ministering visit, including cleaning and folding laundry
  • oil change
  • wrapping Iris' presents
  • gym
  • almost 2 hours of picking up from school
  • and then the after-school rat races (figuratively)
Now it's past my bedtime. David went to bed a while ago. And the house is still a mess.
Our house guests moved out today and GG and Pops come tomorrow.
Ahh, tomorrow = another rat race
But I am excited for Iris' Golden Birthday!

Cousin Camp!

My niece, Elle, hosted a girl's camp for the girl cousins.
They loved it!
Here are some pics:
The boys hung out while the girls had their free time.
I was a loner and almost didn't know what to do with myself.
 I mostly took naps and hung out with my parents.

These 2 are best friends forever!

On the last day of Cousin Camp, I ventured out to look for a shower curtain and happened to bump into one of my good friends. It's been too ling!
